Unconventional post ahead:

Is there anyone that LOVES complexity in their monster team building games? There's a game that I love the shit out of that has an absurd number of ways you can design your team and do super well. The biggest problem is that the graphics turn people off, but if you think you can get past that, here's a small explanation. Just @ me if you think it's something you're really interested in. The developer is great and I'm happy to support him and the series.

  • More than 1,200 creatures and each one has a unique trait (things like +75% normal damage and inflict ___ ailment on attack, after an enemy is resurrected it has a 75% chance to be killed again, after your creatures manually cast a spell this creature does damage to all enemies equal to 35% of its intelligence, etc.)
  • More than 30 specializations which are like classes AND you can swap between them so you don't need to start a new save file. The specializations are INSANE and highly synergistic with certain team ideas. As an example the basic monk specialization has: increased dodge, spell-dodge, when your creatures dodge they also attack, your creatures deal extra damage equal to their speed, chance to avoid fatal damage equal to their dodge chance, chance to move up to the top of the turn order when they dodge and attack, and a bunch more that are synergistic.
  • Each creature can be fused to gain a second trait, AND you can equip creatures with an artifact that you craft (to decide what stats are on it, ranging from just increasing stats to causing certain things to trigger when other things happen) that gives them a third trait + the end game goal of finding a netherstone for your artifact that can give more stats and a potential 4th trait.
  • You have a 6 creature team typically (some specializations and traits give benefits for having less creatures) which means you're looking at 18 traits to combine for your team to build the team in the way you want.
  • An insane endgame that has difficulty scaling that you choose, and rewards you with meaningful potential power increases.
The game doesn't really translate too well to watching, but there are people who have done videos on it if you'd rather watch someone on YT than look at screenshots and trailers.

I'm not rich or anything (I'm a teacher), but I'll happily gift 3 copies to the first 3 people that @ me and think they'll genuinely enjoy it.
