I think I gave Dark Souls an 8, so it's fair to add +0.5 for cute bugs. In all serious, the lore being distributed mostly via NPCs does add a lot to the coziness of the game despite the bleak atmosphere which creates a nice feeling. There's a lot of neat concepts and speculation aspects too.
