Are you clarifying that you want it dry? Because the majority of customers that order a Cappuccino wind up complaining that it's "50% foam" and return it. I used to work as a Barista, and I know the majority of staff I would work with got to a point where unless the person specified, or they were a regular, they would make their cappuccino's either 70/30 or 80/20 liquid to foam to avoid dealing with angry stupid people.

Just tell them you want it dry. And if they don't know what that means, you're totally justified in your general disdain.

Yes I want 50/50. 80/20 is basically a latte.

I can tell immediately when I pick up the cup if they got it right or not.

I don't want it dry tho, I want some milk. Even like 30/70 liquid to foam would be fine.
