Before the snitch was caught the game was 90-30, Slytherin was winning. The snitch is absolutely lopsided in value vs. normal goals, but the normal goals do matter in aggregate. Also, if the game goes long enough the lead can stretch to the point where the snitch is no longer enough. Edit to add: not that I think the value of the snitch is reasonable.
