And that is that all the characters are in a series that has at least one game on a Nintendo system. It doesnt seem to have anything to do with who owns the character. Just that they have to be in a series that has at least one title in a Nintendo system (consoles or handheld). They dont even have to be in the game thats on the Nintendo system. Just be part of the series. And AFAIK, Master Chief has only been in Halo. And that has not been on a Nintendo system...
