Reminds me that I should look into more of the modern Mega Man game soundtracks since that's where several songs I like from this series have come from. Pretty solid piano melody. I like the funky sound of Tron's Castle. Even though I didn't like it enough to consider supporting it, it was a memorable discovery from this year's nominations. I'm not really a fan of 1:01-1:36 though. If it wasn't for that part, this match would be very close and I could see myself going for Tron's Castle, but unfortunately, it's enough for Tundra Man Stage to be the more consistently good song. It's still a bit close, but I'm pretty settled on my pick here. MATCH 2 Wait, Sky of Twilight was composed by Shade? The Rance composer? No wonder I like this song so much then haha. Though even though this isn't the most typical Atelier song, it's definitely not a surprise that I like this so much lol. I feel like I've mellowed out on this song over my three years of participation, but the fact that this marks the third year in a row of me picking this song as a bracket champion shows how consistently strong it is in my mind. What is it that I like about PSO2 music from what I've heard so far? I think it might be a combination of big chords and dramatic melodies. Rival - Omega's a cool song, but I'm not really getting enough of that from this song. Or maybe it's just that I don't like what it offers as much as what my favorite PSO2 songs offer because Rival - Omega certainly has both of those things. My favorite part's 0:30-0:42 with all that polyphony. MATCH 3 I've never been a huge fan of A Beautiful Song compared to other Nier Automata songs. I think it's a good song though. It has that big, dramatic sound that I like in other Nier Automata songs. Give Me is a decent song, but I think a lot of the appeal to me is also how amusing I find it lol. And that's not a bad thing, just for the record. That saxophone solo at 2:26 is pretty nice.
