It kinda reminded me of Lethal Weapon 4 with the aging angle, but the dynamoc between the 2 character just didn't age as well for Smith/Lawrence as it did for Glover/Gibson imo. Still liked it and had some great action, but it fell pretty short of the first 2 for me. You were looking forward to it? Most of the "decades later" sequels are always terrible, especially all those TV show revivals, so I always go in with low expectations. I don't think anything compares to the Riggs/Murtaugh dynamic though, you literally grow up with those characters and see them get married, lose loved ones, gain new ones, have kids, it's an emotionally journey from the first movie all the way to the 6th --- ...
