Oh yeah, you have to shake them until your arm falls off when you first get them, depending on the colour. Small glass beads can be used as an agitator. You can also use a toothpick to help mix the paint. Im not an awesome painter or anything by any means, but Ive had experience and know the basics of most techniques.
