Pokemon games haven't been very good for years. About the difficulty thing people will tell you these games were always easy, defending shitty GameFreak. What they won't answer is why GF are going out of their way to make them even easier. We already got the answer: Junichi Masuda doesn't think much of modern children. Maybe he's not wrong in that they don't have the thinking skills or patience of previous gens. They're the smartphone generation.
