With triple vocals on Planet X/Cradle/Psycho Soldier...and one of them was against Senko no Ronde...oh god... Sanctuary-MA-RI-A feels like a song I should be tired of by now but I'm really not!!! Not just the chords, but the voice leading in the "soprano"/"top notes"/"melody" against that progression is really typical (I usually think of All of Me by John Legend). I could play the main parts of the song back in my head and it sounded pretty much exactly as I remembered it, but I still felt fully immersed and didn't get bored at all while listening! Sometimes you just crave that one specific brand of cheap ice cream, one that you've had hundreds of times even though it's no different from the other brands, but you know exactly what to expect and just won't take anything else to hit that spot of comfort food! --- -Abraham Lincoln ...
