I get what youre saying - but look at it from the person whos cutting your paychecks point of view. Theyre paying you to do a job, that job description isnt 3 hours of work for the company then the rest is divided amongst your personal chores at home.

Thats why many companies would rather you sit at a cubicle or come to the office for 8 hours and do the same amount of work than sit home and do the work your getting paid for on top of knocking off personal projects.

Theoretically you get paid for a specific objective, such as flipping a specific number of burgers, or completing a specific number of corporate financial statements or whatever. Or you get paid by the hour, case in which you get paid (theoretically) for 8 hours of work.

If you squeeze 15 minutes of laundry and a 10 minute walk in between certain activities but you still reviewed (correctly) the same number of financial statements or higher, or you still worked 8 hours, why mind?

It sounds more like the employers want suffering and control.
