and even if that were true - my main line of work is commercial renovation where many of these companies in big cities work in big buildings where lumber isnt used.
I thought it was both, at least that's what I heard. When the pandemic hit, producers scaled back production because they foresaw a huge decline in demand. But millions of people with a lot of extra cash from spending all their time at home decided they needed to upgrade their crappy homes.
