My commute is only 20-30 minutes, so going to the office isnt a big hassle even though I prefer wfh. What is a big hassle is all of the office covid rules. All of the office shared services/areas (coffee, microwave, fridge, lunch area, etc) are off limits. Instead of making my own lunch Ill have to get take out every day. Masks are mandatory at all times (I dont have an issue with masks but all things being equal it is easier to not wear one at home than it is to wear one at the office). As of now we are just doing volunteers back in the office, but management plans on doing mandatory part time this summer. I suspect full time by end of the year.
yeah my office was like that at first. i said i wouldn't go to work if i didn't have coffee at the office. also used the fridge and microwave for my lunches. it's too expensive to not have these normal "luxuries" especially when the drive is 40 min one way.

my workplace is all vaccinated now so we don't bother with masks anymore, at least.
