You won't be able to activate this to short out an opponent's first turn combo as it's not a hand trap, you won't be able to activate this on your turn going second to break their board as it's a trap AND it requires a specific type of summon. You're probably not going to be able to activate it on any of your turns, since you'd need to summon a water monster and why would you run this card if you have water monsters?

If your opponent has no water monsters it's useless, and you don't know what they have so it's a side deck card. It's once per duel, so either you rarely see it or you run 3 and have two dead draws.

Since I'm assuming you have no water monsters you will, at best, trade this one trap to get rid of 6 of your opponents monsters. 7, if they've linked both zones somehow. This only makes you discard water monsters and not the opponent, so you'll draw at 3 cards. That's quite good, assuming they somehow have a 6-7 monster board and no way to negate this or destroy this card.

I'm not great at Yu-Gi-Oh, maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I'm not sure why I'd use this card.
