But then, some of the people who are big in these fields are elitists themselves. But I guess they can come at it as "I went to the same schools they went to, so I know what they really think" The part where they act as if they're totally rational people who are coming at it from "facts and science" and "facts don't care about your feelings" is what annoys me the most.
