Topic	[VGMC] Day 5! Nekozamurai / F.Shrine / Obstacle / R.Coast / J.Dragn / Imp.Worlds

I'd rather Neko Matsuri be the cat-themed rhythm game song representation. But Nekozamurai is still a good song! I won't say no to listening to cat and dog noises, but the guitar melody is definitely what I like hearing the most in this song. It's pretty solid. Face Shrine isn't a bad song, but I'm not very interested in it. This is probably the kind of song that I'd rate around a 5/10 because I don't feel one way or the other about it. MATCH 2 Obstacle's a pretty neat song! I did think that some of these chord changes felt PMD-esque, so I'm glad that Tox wrote something similar so that I can see that I'm not totally off base with that comment haha. Mainly the chord change at 0:38 is what gives me that feeling. I like that breakdown from 1:15-1:40 the most. I've warmed up a little more to Ryoshima Coast compared to VGMC13, I believe, when it was last in. That said though, I still think it's decent, but not great. It has a pleasant sound, but not the best melody. The best parts to me are 0:54-1:08 and 1:29-1:43. Very close match, and I almost picked Obstacle at first when I was filling out my favorites bracket, but I think Ryoshima Coast is more my thing. MATCH 3 Roar of the Jungle Dragon is pretty naturally up my alley. Good vocal melody and good harmonizing with the background instruments. I can't get over how Impossible Worlds feels so much like a Tycho song lol. Even the album artwork for the soundtrack looks like something Tycho would make. When I first heard this while filling out my favorites bracket, I actually went to make sure Todd Baker and Tycho weren't the same person haha. It's nice and relaxing, but it has a strong enough melodic component to hold my interest, which I think is important for a song like this. I wish I could vote for this, but Roar of the Jungle Dragon's more my thing, unfortunately.
