You are entitled to your opinion. For my part:
1) I find autobattle boring
2) I find Fran very unappealing: I would be creeped out if such a "person" hung out around me.
3) Lots of recent games have beautiful settings...but not much of interest to do.
4) I didn't hate Vaan and Penelo. I just found them uninteresting, which might be worse.
I loved that they used the old Prologue in the prologue. After that...........eh.
