This was something I mostly disliked about the game, except when it came to obligatory level grinding - my least favorite thing in most RPGs anyhow. The story had a lot of potential. But it felt like we were following a piece of carboard with nasal congestion on a journey that didn't matter while everything interesting happened elsewhere. Like I said, everything interesting was away from where we were at almost any given time, and there was a whole lot of potential to be had.
