~5 years ago I thought it could be cool to get a tattoo, I just hadn't found a design I wanted. I thought one day I'd come across something I'd like on me. But the more I waited and looked, the uglier people's tattoos started looking. I live in a city where at least like half the people have tattoos.

-Lots of people get tattoos from artists who just aren't that good. just mediocre art.
-Many tattoos are just uninspired generic stuff. It's like buying a picture frame and leaving the stock placeholder image that came in the frame.
-Things that are personal to somebody often just look dumb to other people who aren't in on it
-Tattoos on hairy skin look bad and often draw more attention to the leg hair than the tattoo itself
-Tattoos look cool at first but the linework and colors blur and fade and it ends up looking bad

That said, your body is your canvas and if you're happy with it then that's what matters most, I'm just some random stranger
