i don't know where people are getting the "Newsom being recalled = a Republican will be elected" thing from, that's not how recalls work. candidates of all parties can run, it's not just a choice between re-elect Newson or elect a Republican cadidate.

that being said, it's not just Republicans who are dissatisfied with Newsom. i'm center-left and i really don't like how smarmy and hypocritical he is. like many others, i was pretty pissed off about how he was telling everyone to stay at home, shelter in place, don't go anywhere, don't go out to eat, and then he's seen wining and dining at some fancy restaurant with a big group and spending as much on one dinner as the pittance us everyday regular jackoffs got as a stimulus from the government that's supposed to last us months. that was just fucking ridiculous. and that was just the straw that broke the camel's back. dude always came off as smarmy and shady as fuck from the first time i heard him speak.
