With the right tools, it's probably not hard to tell the difference between an old crack and a new one. If it's a new crack, yeah, give them the benefit of the doubt, but if they're trying to blame an old crack on a recent event, hit em with insurance fraud and show no mercy.

Wow you seem pretty heartless

That kind of damage can potentially ruin a household financially so I wouldnt blame anyone for claiming the damage was caused by some stupid event like this, especially when insurance companies are massively insured themselves through reinsurance companies and paying for a cracked foundation means nothing to them.
