Topic	Anybody every worked a second shift schedule?

I'll take the offer unless another job that I feel less qualified for comes through and offers me the ideal first shift job. This would be my first time ever working a regular second shift. It'd be Monday-Friday. Has anybody ever worked a routinely second shift job before? How did you manage the difference in schedule of your friends and family? Are there any benefits that may not be as obvious? As a side note, I have a current job offer that is also second shift, but with rotating weekends and holidays and also pays less.
