Over time, she just rolled with it because Peej is nothing if not incredibly self-confident. As to who is Power Girl. Long story short, she was the Kara Zor-L of Earth 2. She was one of the very few survivors of the original Crisis of Infinite Earths. Though it took several years and backstories before they (re)settled on that origin.
