as a kid I used to rent the classic ones from Blockbuser. I liked the original and Beneath, but I thought the ones after that were pretty boring. >_>

what are your thoughts on the original movie series?

I think the first one, Beneath and Escape are some of the better movies I've seen period simply for the fact that each time I think there's no way they can expand on the story they do (I especially thought that after Beneath but what they did for Escape was really clever IMO). Then it starts to drop off with Conquest but picks back up again with Battle. Just make sure you watch the extended versions of Conquest and Battle because they make the time travel parts really connect

what do you think of the reboot series, and how would you rank them

The reboots were ok, though I think the originals are better and I personally don't think the apes in the reboots look as good. Don't get me wrong the CGI is incredible but practical effects will always look better because they're a physical thing the camera can capture. Also I'm not a huge fan of James Franco so I groaned when I heard he was in it but by the end I actually wanted him back for the sequels. He was really good, I was surprised

To rank them I'd say:
Dawn
Rise
War

But the Marky Mark version has Estella Warren in it so that wins by default

I mean come on
