Unfortunately the mother dies in childbirth after an incredibly problematic pregnancy which ends up being due to the fact the son has superpowers. Your daughter is immensely jealous of the powers as she didn't get any and also jealous of all the attention the son got throughout their childhood. As they grew up this envy only worsened as he became the superhero Captain Onyx, appearing on TV/media every day fighting crime. She'd see him being given a medal as the city applauds after saving another family from a fire by lifting a bus above his head. Meanwhile she struggles to carry the milk and groceries back from the store and when she does get home she finds press all over the place trying to get quotes from her about her brother once again. Eventually it becomes too much, she goes nuts and disappears, where she went you know not. She dropped contact with everyone until out of the blue she turns up at your home and takes you to her secret hideout. Saying she has something to show you as she leads you to a bizarre terminal. "I want to show you this device I made. It took me a while but it's finally complete! It can repurpose satellites in orbit and use them to create unstoppable powerful kinetic bombardments at any target of my choice, anywhere in the world, any time I want. The first target will be Captain Onyx. I will aim every single satellite in orbit at him and fire enough orbital strikes to reduce Mount Olympus to a pothole. Then after that, the second wave will be to target every world leader and every facility that could take the satellites down. Just so everyone knows I am serious, no one can ignore or deny what has happened. Everyone will know what's going on and why. No one would have any reason to believe I would hold back or make excuses/exceptions after that. There'll be no one left who doesn't know who I am, no one who ever lived that's more famous than me. Not even Jesus let alone Captain Onyx! Then I tell the world, anyone who opposes me, anyone who pushes murder or war or commits crimes? They die next. What do you think Israel and Palestine is going to look like when anyone who doesn't want peace there is gone? How do you think China will view Tibet when they know death is above them at all times for wrongdoing? Who do you think is going to a rob bank when they know they will be instantly killed if they attempt it it? What happens when every gang leader, or rapist is blown to pieces!? Yes bystanders will be caught in the blasts but that's just collateral damage for the greater good. No one cares if Captain Onyx destroys a building or two to save the day so this is a small price to pay for me heroically saving all of humanity. While Captain Onyx spent all this time being worshipped for saving kittens from trees as everything remained the same, I'm actually changing the planet. I'm gonna save the world. I will fix everything and make the the future better by causing a shift in the nature of humanity. Once everyone is too afraid to ever do wrong because of me, there will be nothing but goodness left!
