Topic	Officially a first time homeowner

Don't need to go into a ton of detail -- that's personal -- but curious to know what you're working with. Bought my first place a year ago, and it's definitely been an adventure. Thought I was buying a place that was reasonably fixed up, and then I got in here and realized that the DIY'er who lived here wasn't as good as he made the house appear to be when all the blemishes and inconsistencies were disguised by their furniture. Yeah hopefully we don't have those same discoveries but it was built in '85, currently we just got all the appliances and some paint and we're going over there later today to start painting the living room and our master before we start moving everything in. Luckily we have our current lease running until the end of May so we have a lot of time to get everything moved, and the new house is only 5 minutes away.
