James early AVGN episodes are a clear cut above of 99% of videos in terms of production quality, editing, scripting...etc. His background in film gave him a clear advantage early on. But yeah he's run the character to the ground. There is only so much you can do with 1 joke repeated ad nauseum. Yeah you're right, fluke was a bad word to explain his explosion in popularity. His videos were definitely higher quality than anything you could find at the time, and to add to AVGN's legacy it literally became the #1 inspiration for many other video game content creator to make videos. I didn't want to add to the dogpiling on James, I was just kind of giving context to probably why his newer videos aren't "up to par" to his older videos. I remember a few years ago I was at a meet and greet with James and I made a comment about how he doesn't seem to be that angry when it came to his videos. He made a quick remark, "I guess I'll film it when I'm in a bad mood." Needless to say, I see no reason for him to be in a bad mood because he's already pretty damn successful. --- DI MOLTO! ...
