Yes, in the same way that if you're in Canada on holiday and you buy a sandwich for CA$6, then the value of the Canadian dollar goes up, you basically just paid more (probably not $60, but the same idea still applies) for the sandwich. I don't know why people would use that type of currency to pay for anything then.
