To be fair, it was in response to banning anyone who mentioned a former politicians name that caused them to shut down their subs, not just the hiring someone who defended and employed a nonce who tortured children (who happened to be their father)

Not that I think it really did much as I didn't even notice until after the individual in question had been fired, or even realise the subs that did close down had closed down. The whole giving posts awards) and reddit money is amusing though, but did at least see some posts that got them telling people to stop being idiots.

A sick little part of me just enjoys seeing how carried away people get with this stuff, like they're all employed by reddit too and part of the reddit democracy...and totally not just a marketing product that reddit is selling for big money
