| Tom Clark 03/24/21 2:40:26 PM #60: | Gredenko chopping off his arm is the wackiest point of the whole season for me. It's just fucking bizarre. The deal was that if he leads them to Fayed via the gizmo in his arm then he goes free. So he leads them to Fayed via the gizmo in his arm then chops it off and wanders away to die under a pier. But he'd fulfilled his part of the deal. If he was chopping his arm off to avoid them following him to Fayed, why do it after they've followed him to Fayed? If he did it because he didn't trust them and thought they would double cross him, why lead them to Fayed? There's like, zero gap between "I've done what you asked as part of the deal" and "Hey, have you guys heard of a film called 27 Hours?" He doesn't give them a chance to renege on the deal, so if he trusted them that little he could have taken them literally anywhere except the one place Fayed was at. It's absolutely my favourite moment of the entire season, but for all the wrong reasons. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
