Maybe it wasn't reported on enough because of COVID and election coverage, but last year was significantly worse in the US. It kind of blew my mind looking at the statistics, an ongoing thing on CE last year were a lot of comments like "At least mass shootings are down with COVID" but it was quite the opposite.
