Oh it's fun for sure but really depends on your personality. I got really addicted to it for a while and it just got unhealthy.

The fact that you got a book and you're actually trying to get better instead of just chasing the ELO high, you're already handling it way better than I did.

Got no earthly clue what eitger is. Since variants weren't really as popular and studied as standard chess (they don't have as much depth from what I could tell) I don't think they had technical terms for maneuvers and strategies.

Or maybe they did and that part just never hooked me. I just picked it up from playing, watching and messing around with the explorer.

I've ignored chess.com for so long but I'm looking at it now and goddamn they have some cool looking variants. Think I might have to sign up and check this out.
idk what you mean about the elo high since Ive been stuck at 1200 for years ._.

ohh no i meant either, not eitger. Do you use either chess.com or lichess
also what do you mean about variants
do you mean competitive chess? just chess theory?

do it! chess.com is amazing. you can customize the board and pieces to almost anything. theres also a cheap membership for lessons, quizzes and in depth analysis of your games. I use lichess for that though since lichess is free
