People loved Dawn of the Dead, 300 was a phenomenon, and I distinctly remember Watchmen being beloved at release. His style just became kind of stale. I distinctly remember walking out of the theater after 300 and thinking "that was alright". Which is crazy because I was the perfect person to enjoy it being a 16 or 17 year old guy who loves action and violence. The visuals just took me out of it. My favorite part is the fight against the Immortals(?) which happens to be one of the few times he didn't use a ton of slo-mo and exaggerated effects. Watchmen is fine and Dawn of the Dead is really good. Everything else he's done I've kind of hated --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
