I wouldn't think that those groups match up all that well. Timothy Hale Cusanell idolizes Hitler. As much as the news outlets like to compare the two, Trump is not Hitler. The success of Hitler would not have been good for America or make it great at all. It fact it would have been very bad for America. This person appears to be an ethno-nationalist. Someone who believes that a country should have a specific demographic makeup. I think the MAGA philosophy is more akin to civic-nationalism. The belief that a country embodies a set of values held by its members. Values which the democrat party is seen as rejecting. The events of January 6th was a protest against ethno-nationalists seizing more power. His beliefs are more in line with the democrats. They both have a racial agenda for the country and want different rules for different demographic groups. All that sets them apart is which group gets favoritism.
