I'm sorry for your loss man. Losing people is the hardest thing on this earth. At least she died in her sleep, a painless and unknowing death. It's how my grandfather died as well.

As to what happened with eh oxygen. She may have been trying to do it herself. Mayeb she couldn't get the oxygen back in and thought it be fine.

When you depend on others, sometimes people feel like they are a burden. She may have been trying to do it herself as to not bother you. Had the same thing with my mom when she had breast cancer. Fortunately for me she survived it but I took care of her. She had weak legs and a bad arm. She is mostly better besides the arm being at like 70%. But she was depressed that she had to be taken of.

Time doesn't heal all wounds but things will slowly get better. Take your time with the grief. Be there for your son. Do your best and remember the good memories yall had. You were the best husband that she could have asked for and I'm sure she was happy you were there tell the end.
