I dont know specifics but when my mom passed my pops(they were divorced) let me and my siblings go about our day; we had a theatre competition thing and we won first place... It let us have the day of normalcy our mom would have wanted.... There is never going to be a good way to do this. You are not to blame for how it goes down and occurs. You're a fucking hero for surviving it for your kids. Take her/him somewhere nice where there are no people. Personally I approve of shit around to be broken.
