Topic	Why did Ronald Reagan win by a huge landslide in two elections?
pfh1001 03/14/21 2:50:11 PM #5:	The first time because Carter's presidency didn't go well in a number of ways, especially the hostage crisis in Iran (which was a big deal during the election) and the economy stinking. The economy perked back up during Reagan's first term and Mondale wasn't a great candidate. Plus, the Christian coalition was building power and firing up the right wing base of the Republican party.
