The FBI estimates that 10,000 people attended Trumps rally, and less than 10% of those deluded folks (800) went on to invade the Capitol. Of those 10K who found their way to the rally already represented a rarefied fraction of those dumb enough to believe the big lie that the election was stolen, those with enough money and/or blind fanaticism to make the effort to travel to DC. The 800 insurrectionists among them who were stupid enough to invade the Capitol, unlike the majority of smarter rally attendees who at least had enough sense to know it was a bad idea to storm a federal building let alone try to assassinate people, represent a extremely pure distillation of dumbass. Those 800 who attacked the Capitol are the cream of the dumb, the pinnacle of the supremely stupid, though the depth of their idiocy continues to amaze me, ok? Documenting their crimes and bragging about stolen souvenirs was bad enough, but pissing in the Speakers office is a ridiculously animalistic attempt at male dominance that would make even a bull elephant embarrassed. But I suppose I shouldnt be surprised given that his fellow idiots also smeared shit on the halls of Congress like insane monkeys.
