In this case, if 2+2=5, what that would mean is just that we are saying the physical symbol for representing [o, o, o, o] items is 5. 4 would be the symbol for something else, maybe [o, o, o, o, o] in a world where we choose for an arbitrary reason to count "1, 2, 3, 5, 4" instead. This doesn't change that math is objectively true or correct. We know it is, and we just need to figure out more math.
