Damn_Underscore 02/19/21 2:47:20 PM #14: | The main flaw of the metric system in everyday society is that decimeters (an equivalent of feet) are not used as a common measurement. Human height is a great example where meters are too long and centimeters are too short, so decimeters would be perfect to measure it... but no one actually uses them. Also Fahrenheit > Celsius. Celsius is not easy to convert like other metric units because there is nothing to convert to... For measuring common outdoor temperatures in most of the world (approx 0 to 100 degrees F), Fahrenheit has 101 integers to do this while Celsius only has about half of that. It would be great if someone invented a temperature scale that was designed to measure outdoor temperature, but Fahrenheit is closer to that than Celsius is. --- I try to laugh about it, hiding the tears in my eyes. ...
