I think I'm very strange in that I got into this song far more when I was an adult than when I was a kid playing this game. I have a very fond memory of drunkenly belting this song with my friends as karaoke while swinging around my disconnected GH controller. Slightly related, I love how the comment section is mostly from this year and yet reads like they're from 2008 when this video was uploaded. I guess something about this song just brings out the child in us I cannot believe you didn't know the name of this song (you called it 'Through the Fire and the Flames' smh) 137./99. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana - Sunshine Coastline Nominator: VGMC Honorees 8.5 (8.5/0) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNgph1g422Q My friend commented that this song is pretty good but not outstanding when I showed it to him. I think I agree, and it falls under Dire's theory of VGMC Mediocrity, where the winner is more likely to be a song that doesn't strongly repel many people as opposed to one that inspires. Of course, this song does inspire many people. I'm not quite sure why. It is quite good, but not a song that'd stand out to me as something I needed to nom or support. It has strong "third best song in its game" energy.
