Seriously if you dump 1000s of dollars into the game what ends up happening is you finish all the content and then there's nothing to work for because you just skipped it all. The game makes you want things rather than need them. Several of the best units in the game are completely free as in you'll get them just for playing the game and don't have to summon them. Others are part of the 4* pool which mean the chances you'll get them are very high. If you start playing right now there's a free character event going on if you do all the side quests which are pretty easy. Xingqiu is the recommended pick if you don't have any of them for his support ability and talent book crafting passive. If you manage to summon Xingqiu then go with anyone.
