No, because that wasn't the focus of my comment and I feel like you know that. The point, which I feel you're conveniently ignoring, is owning a gun offers a tremendous advantage and absolutely decreases your odds of being hurt in a home invasion vs not having one. This is not hard. Here's the quote again, bolded for you.
