It cannot be justified. I get that words change based on the generally accepted use but you cant say it doesnt matter, especially if the person arguing is talking about literal use. Again, I was pointing out the person using the actual definition, not whether it would change for law or what others have social perception of them. Really, it matters until enough people misuse a word and then it becomes accepted as right because most people get used to the wrong usage cuz theyre not smart.
