Thanos' whole plan was mind-numbingly stupid. How the fuck would killing 50% of all life in the universe somehow resolve the issue of overpopulation? They would just reproduce and the same issue would occur. And it is not like overpopulation is an issue everywhere in the galaxy.
I also just don't get how that purple raisin is supposed to be more intimidating than your average bad guy. Just because he has a deep voice? The stones and the gauntlet (forced slaves to create it for him) are what are really intimidating. I just never could take him seriously in the movies.
