A lot of people don't know. Because that stereotype isn't in use anymore. And while the original Aunt Jemima loho looks pretty bad, the more recent ones have all just been "smiling black woman with a headscarf". While it may have roots in racism, there aren't loads of people walking into a store, looking at a bottle of Aunt Jemima, seeing her headscarf, and going into fits of rage.
And to the 7 people who are doing that, they need to get their priorities checked.

EDIT oh if that guy's a white supremacist then yeah he probably knows and uses all the stereotypes.
