Pit bulls have an "on" and "off" switch. When that switch is "on" that is when they start attacking. Sure, a bad owner might increase the chances of that "on" switch being activated. But good ownership does not make it 0%. You can have a very well-trained Pitbull and it will still have a small probability of going off on someone.

Pit Bulls(real American Pit Bull Terriers) should not show any human aggression. Man biters were often culled (killed) from breeding programs because it was dangerous to have a dog that would turn and bite someone in the middle of a dog fight. Dog and animal aggression is to be expected since they are of bulldog and terrier ancestry.
