Lol I mean it's not perfect but at least the people who were set up as the biggest powers at the start of the series have remained consistently so. If this was Bleach, Luffy would have reached Admiral level in the first 60 episodes and then reached Emperor level at episode 200 or something, and Oda would have had to invent and retcon some ridiculously powerful hidden world-ending group into the story somehow.
