I didn't say they are but they don't have to be for your flimsy premise to fall apart anyway.

You're saying meat is good because that's what they're "meant to eat," disregarding all the variations within animal flesh that lead to the many ways a meat-based diet can also be inadequate. You're using a standard that relatively very few cat caretakers actually meet with a meat-based diet to make a point against the validity of a plant-based diet.

And to be clear, I'm not advocating for a plant-based diet for cats at this moment. There are plenty of reasons not to but an appeal to nature that smacks of general anti-vegan bias isn't one of them.

If there's a plant-based cat food that is proven to be as safe as the best meat-based offering, would you be okay with it?
