There was a whole plot that revolved around that.Once again I watched the movie so....duh. I'm not sure if you realize what a teaser is. Iron Man 1. Rhodey looks at an Iron Man suit and says "not today" which is a teaser for War Machine. It's a teaser, at that point even before Iron Man 2 was produced, because War Machine is a thing in the comics. The Multiverse being mentioned at all is a teaser because the Multiverse is a thing in the Marvel comics. If the concept of alternate realities wasn't so entwined with time travel in general you could say Endgame was one huge teaser for the Multiverse in the MCU when that movie was released, but it was too vague at that point.
